Re: Referencing PrivateData in an XSLT

Maybe it would be helpful to understand the problem I'm trying to solve with the use of PrivateData within this transform. Ultimately I'm trying to effectively over-write the value of a field in the job metadata. I'm using a field in a database that contains a name field (and a job number field) fro...

Referencing PrivateData in an XSLT

I'm using an XSLT to export a .csv file. One of the items in the CSV is pulled from PrivateData. I cannot find the appropriate quoting/escaping level to get it to appear in my output. And there are no errors thrown anywhere. Here's the relevant bit: ;<xsl:value-of select="//*[tag='Job Number']/value...

SQL Query Incomplete Results

I have a query I run against a FileMaker Server using the Database connect module (Switch 2019 Fall). Recently it came to my attention that it wasn't returning complete results. Below is the query. If I use the query tool within Excel, it returns *all* of the results - and I just copy/pasted the bel...

Re: SQL Syntax Doesn't Work in Switch

Figured it out:
For these 2 lines:

INNER JOIN Title t ON t.ISBN = j.ISBN
JOIN Customer c ON c.CustID = j.CustID

I broke them apart to:

INNER JOIN Title t
ON t.ISBN = j.ISBN
JOIN Customer c
ON c.CustID = j.CustID

And it worked. But, again, the former version worked in Excel on Windows.

SQL Syntax Doesn't Work in Switch

This syntax executes just fine in Excel against a FileMaker Pro 14 server, but from the Switch Database connect configurator, it hangs up FileMaker. I had to modify the query from a version that worked fine, the main difference here is the use of the JOIN command, never used it before. Again, Excel ...

HTTP Request Not Reliable

Running 2018u1 on Windows Server 2012R2. I have a couple different flows that utilize the "HTTP request" configurator. Some of them hit external URLs, others hit internal URLs. But universally, randomly, the configurator has the red gear icon on it and is stalled out. One issue with this is that thi...

Writing a Text File via (Java) Scripting

I searched the existing posts, didn't find an exact fit for what I want to be able to do. I'm simply looking for a code example showing the combining of perhaps a data field from the job, and perhaps some other static custom text, and writing it to a local file (on Windows), UTF-8. So: defining the ...

Re: Using JS To Add Email Addresses

Call me a hack, I'm new to JS (worse yet, within Switch), this worked for me - a blend of observations by Gabriel. I used a previous folder in the flow to attach the field I needed as the JobState like so: '[Metadata.TextIndexed:Path="/field-list/field[6]/value",Dataset="Submit",Model="XML"]' - it o...

Re: Using JS To Add Email Addresses

You are on the right track. The only thing you still have to do is to send the job to the output folder. In your case a single output connection will be enough, so in the properties of the script you define it as having just one output connection and the end of the jobArrived function you add: job....

Java "Includes" Not Working

What am I missing? I'm attempting to stash a piece of text in the JobState to be retrieved later by a configurator. // Is invoked each time a new job arrives in one of the input folders for the flow element. // The newly arrived job is passed as the second parameter. function jobArrived( s : Switch,...

Re: Using JS To Add Email Addresses

Thank You both Gentlemen! I knew about "It's much easier to understand what //field[tag='Gramvikt']/value is than what /field-list/field[2]/field-list/field[1]/field-list/field/field-list/field/value is... " but never having dealt with it in the context of a script and not sure how "deep" I had to d...

Using JS To Add Email Addresses

Rather than my spaghetti folder configuration to do this, I decided to try and conquer a script. The purpose of the script is to grab data from 1 (of several) fields submitted to a Submit Point by a Connector (XML job ticket), and use if/then's to determine which additional email address should be a...
