Silly question but I'm going from Version 3.5 to whatever the latest iteration of PitStop Server is.
Is there a Saddle Stitching function with Pitstop Server? Or would I still have to use 3rd parties (FreeFlow, Quite Imposing, etc)

Switch capabilities
I have a few quick questions regarding Switch, trying to satisfy curiosity. Can Switch be used to send a PDF or Postscript file to a printer complete with tray pulls, finishing requirements, exception pages (slipsheets) and such? We can use Switch to add barcodes, with the barcode content being from...

Scale to Guides?
I recently had about 15 files that originated at 8.5 x 11 but needed to be reduced to 5.5x8.5. However, the images themselves on the sheet were also asked to be a specific size on that output. Thing is, out of the 15 I'd say there were about 8 different actual sizes for the images. In order to get t...

PDF /VT
Curious to know how to use PitStop to create a PDF /VT compliant PDF. I understand it is based on PDF /X4? I would like to be able to save the profile, and import it into Acrobat Distiller XI, but I'm having a hard time finding documentation on how to import a new profile to be used in the "Def...

Re: Sequential numbering with leading zeros
I think I'll see if they can tackle it on the next Webinar.
Some of these can get pretty big - we had one that consisted of 66 files, each file had 3,000 pages. So it can get pretty funky.

Re: Sequential numbering with leading zeros
Yes, PDF B would start at 101 and go to 250.
PDF C would start at 251...etc.

Re: Sequential numbering with leading zeros
I'll be adding the numbers to the PDF. I found the PitStop action to do it, but now I'm stuck on how to continue the numbering across 2 or more files. The filenames will have the package ID number in them - like XXX_12345_092816_1of3, XXX_12345_092816_2of3, XXX_12345_092816_3of3, etc. 12345 being th...

Re: Sequential numbering with leading zeros
Actually I found an action in PitStop but as it turns out, this is going to be more involved. I'll get say 5 files for the same batch, because one file will be too large to transmit. So the beginning of File 2 has to be a direct continuation of the end of File 1, and so on. I wonder what a workflow ...

Sequential numbering with leading zeros
Pretty much what it says... I'm not sure if this is a Switch thing, or is it strictly PitStop Server? I'd like to add sequential numbering to my document, and have it always be 5 digits. So 00001, 00011, etc... I see the page numbering action list, but it's not clear how to add the leading zeros. Th...

PitStop Server Node - where's my action lists?
I'm using Switch 13.1 and PitStop Server 13 on a trial.
I see that you can use multiple actions in the PitStop Server node, if you choose "Select Many From Library".
How do I add my own actions to this library?

What's the "point"? AKA Units of Measure
Not that I'm totally averse to conversions, but is there a way to tell the connector to search for Stats.MediaBoxHeight (etc...) in inches instead of points?

Re: Export Metadata
I think you mean exporting from your database. What you'd need to do is just get the metadata for jobs that go through your flow. Sounds like you're already doing that. Now, you can route the jobs based on that metadata. Unfortunately I'm not even that far along yet. At minimum, how would i get the...

Re: Export Metadata
This is gonna be a while... What would a flow look like, grabbing information from the database, and then exporting the metadata? I did manage to find some sample flows but none for exporting metadata. I'm trying to get it to read the database, and then make a decision based on the information in th...

Export Metadata
I think I'm missing a simple step here. I've connected to a database, and from there I'd like to export metadata. There's an error stating that the node requires one outgoing log connection.
I've put a "Log Job Info" node in but the error won't go away.
