number and validating property

Hi there, i encountered a misleading documentation with the validation of a "number" property in Scripter 2020. I also found it was present in previous version (2019 at least) : Number : Is non-empty and contains only decimal digits In fact, you can only type a positive integer number : no...

Re: Portals give warnings

The warning message were internal logs that we did not intend to show in production.

As said by patej, the new Switch2Switch or flowLink are better in everyway, (faster, and more stable).

Re: NodeJS debugging

These message show-up when VsCode didn't get a return from switch. There is three main cause : - Switch flow element is not set-up in debug mode - Switch flow is not running - You already done a debug and did'nt restart your switch flow between. But i agree on that, the documentation is a bit unclea...

Re: Beta testers requested for new "Flow Links" app

Can you try the following when the issue happens again? 1) Check if it is not a refresh issue in Switch Designer. When you have a job before the Flow Links Send element which is not moving, right click the folder element while holding the shift key and choose "Open inExplorer". Do you als...

Re: How to calculate Ratio for multiple numbers in JS?

Zoranj wrote: Thu Jul 09, 2020 2:29 pm Even with same size, there are multiple different items with different quantities so e.g.:
Item a is 1000
item b is 2000
item c is 3000
item d is 3000
so on 16up sheet I need to impose 2up of a, 4up of b, 5 up of c and 5up of d.

With this exemple, you don't get 3000 ex of C and D, but 2500?

Re: How to calculate Ratio for multiple numbers in JS?

The item are all the same size? or do you have different item? if it's the same item size, it's rather simple, something like this will return an object with your number of column and row. You can also add a function to test with a rotation, if the grain direction is not a problem. function calculat...

Re: New scripting engine in Switch 2020

Hello there, Maybe a dumb question, but as we say, the only dumb question are those we don't say. i'm running on windows and never been a true JS developper, i only worked with legacy Switch JS. I tryed to use npm command in cmd.exe and powershell, but it did'nt work. i'm sure i'm missing a fool ste...

Re: Beta testers requested for new "Flow Links" app

What is considered "under stress" will be different for each system. However, I think the hold job has a big chance to help. Which Switch version are you using? I had a lot less issues with 19 fall. ( I didn't do stress tests with 20 spring yet) If you have the issue in Switch 19 fall or ...

Re: Sending Printjobs to network printers

An easy alternative if you are operating on windows is a small batch file and Foxit Reader or similar PDF tool : setlocal enabledelayedexpansion set mypath=C:\SCRUT\pdfa4 set myprinter=Brother_A4 echo "starting hotfolder scan in %mypath%" :loop for %%f in (%mypath%\*.pdf) do ( echo printin...

Re: Beta testers requested for new "Flow Links" app

Ok, now that i have a better understanding of how it work it seem's more clear. I have an exemple right now : One file submitted trough flow link send at 9:56 this morning, wich worked perfectly fine, but the original file is still in the entry point at 14:34. No special message on the log with the ...

Re: Beta testers requested for new "Flow Links" app

Ok, so i think i'm under the "stress" option. i can have hundred of small file within seconds. The dummy file is a technical necessity because I work with webhooks for messaging. My testing showed that when the system is under stress the arrival of webhook events can be delayed or not happ...

Re: Beta testers requested for new "Flow Links" app

Hello, I switched all my portal app to flow-link app, and it work almost perfectly fine. it's clearly faster than the portal app. Just one note, on some situation (that i did'nt had time to investigate yet) it seems that there is a lot if file "stuck" just before a flow-link send. Some tim...

Configuration for assembling PC part

Hi there, We are looking to buy a new config in order to replace our old Switch Station Wich actually run under I5-7500 4 core 32 Go ram, and a SSD for core component, and it's clearly too slow for our purpose. I built this config with PC partPicker : AMD Ryzen 9 16 core, 64 GoRam, and SSD NVME http...

Re: Portals failing after update to 4.0

It's still unclear, but sometime the "Outgoing" portal will fail to make a proper Zip File with all the element needed by the "Incoming". In your case, it's the jobticket (xml with all your metadata) who are missing. The current statement is that it's not a "repeatable"...
