Re: Creating and Updating PDF Xpath metadata

I think you'll need to update your prefixmap. I found an earlier post here which explains this: https://forum.enfocus.com/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=35&p=121&hilit=namespace+map#p122 Edit: I also found the part of the scripting documentation discussing the adding of prefixmaps: http://www.enfocus.com/manu...

If you have them, I would be really interested in numbers showing how much faster this is compared to the configurator :)

Re: switch designer cannot start failed to retrieve switch server preferences

Switch designer preferences are kept here. They are usually safe to remove when Switch Designer process (Switch.exe) is not running. /Users/<username>/Library/Application Support/Enfocus/Switch Designer/ C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Enfocus\Switch Designer If that doesn't solve it I suggest y...

Re: Mapping Or Ignoring Optional XML Field

Are you getting error's when retrieving variables without values? I thought you just receive an empty result in that case. Which error do you get?

Re: Transform One XML to Multiple XML Files

The built in XSLT tool only supports version 1.0, you will need XSLT 2.0 to be able to split XML files. This means that you will need to install Saxon and use the Saxon configurator. If your XSLT is correct, then it will work with Saxon :)

Re: Remove hidden files ".DS_store" from a folder

Or another option: I usually use the Execute Command tool to recursively search for those files in the folder and remove them. This way you only need one flow element. On mac these Execute Command settings should do the trick https://image.ibb.co/n6kYqJ/Screen_Shot_2018_06_19_at_09_45_51.png On Wind...

I believe this should be possible via scripting, I don't think it is possible without.

Re: FTP tool stop scrutinizing the folder unexpectedly

There is no way to automatically activate and deactivate flows that I'm aware of. If you are using Switch as a Windows Service on Windows (with all it's downsides), then it is possible to stop and start the Switch Windows Service using a cli command. I'm not sure if that would be helpful for you. Al...

Re: Permanently embed preflight xml in PDF file

If you use CertifiedPDF, then it stores some info in the XMP where it is accessible by tools who are able to read XMP. However,the complete report itself is also stored in the file, but only accessible by PitStop tools. To create Certified PDF files with PitStop Server in Switch: - Set the "Certifie...

Re: [FEATURE REQUEST] Custom Defined Trigger for Processors

I agree that it might be very hard or impossible without the scripting module. I was just intrigued by your request because you seemed to describe something similar to publish-subscribe and I so far never had a case where I tried to implement that in Switch. Maybe I just never thought about it becau...

Re: RegEx

You're welcome. And yes you can, you just need to escape the " with a \ in the regex:

Code: Select all

//var input = job.getVariableAsString("[Email.Subject]");
var input = "T\"\'*e:s<t";
var regExp = /[^(\"?\'!.*:^<>)]/g;
var result = input.match(regExp);
result.join("");

Re: [FEATURE REQUEST] Custom Defined Trigger for Processors

What you describe sounds like the publish-subscribe programming pattern and it indeed currently not possible. However, some of the usecases you describe do sound possible with Switch Scripting. The external trigger could store the information somewhere. For example: - A field in a database - Some in...

If you test it on regex101.com, then on the right you can see your Match information. This shows that the first match is "T", the second match is "e", and so on: https://preview.ibb.co/gLc1qy/Screen_Shot_2018_05_31_at_10_41_55.png I assume you are using the "Search" string manipulation in Switch? Re: Detect and fix isolation knock-out transparency groups

To my knowledge you can report transparency groups, but not specific kind of transparency groups. This can be done by creating an Action List with these actions: - Select transparent objects (Change the options so it only reports transparency groups) - Log selection (Add a text which should be logged)

Re: Getting a Page Range via variable input

I expect that the variable for the page range will need to be of type "Text" and the variable for the rotation degrees of type "Number". If so, then I think it should work. Also, Action Lists only go forward in a PDF file, which sometimes leads to unexpected results. Therefore I would advise to firs...
