Preflight catch
Hello All, Is it possible to have pitstop catch corrupt pdfs? i have a preflight that does have a check document -> damaged set to fail. But it's still letting bad pdfs through. These pdfs when opened in acrbat say "There was an error while reading a stream". and you can see the images are...

label layout
Hi guys, I am wondering if this is possible with an action. I have a 1" x 2" label as a 1-page pdf. I want to be able to step and repeat this onto 8.5 x 11 which will be a pre-kiss-cut sheet. I know I could send this through imposition tools but was hoping to make it part of the preflight ...

Assemble jobs and file patterns
Hello All, I have been using a flow I made that takes single page pdfs, assembles in groups of 60 files and merges into 1 fat pdf. It has been working fine but the client has asked me to group by file names. all the files have the following format: Gloss_0226_HC_024_12_213447_2901751_474773_1 Matte_...

Re: HTTP Response to EMAIL Body
Thank you freddyp, I do have it saving the response to a dataset 'HTTPResponse' But I can't seem to find where you can set the body to a dataset in the send email. I tried the include attached body text, I tried template in the job and set to the dataset. Or do you set the body text to a "multi...

HTTP Response to EMAIL Body
Hello, I have a flow set up that pings an HTTP endpoint to run a quick report. The endpoint returns a an HTML string as its response. I am trying to take this response and email it out. For the life of me, I can't figure out how to get the response into the body of the email. Does anyone have any ad...

Re: Assemble Jobs Based on Total Page Count
Thanks guys for the information. PDFtk is an interesting approach. I would rather have fewer pages than more. So if page count of the input file is greater then cutoff then send through, else if page count of input + total is greater the cutoff, send current group of files through and start a new gr...

Re: Assemble Jobs Based on Total Page Count
Thanks cstevens,
You don't happen to have any code snippets for grouping the files and pushing them forward do you? I did something like this years ago but can not locate my script.
Always can count on you for pointing me in the right direction.
Thanks

Assemble Jobs Based on Total Page Count
Hello, Currently, I have a flow that takes incoming pdfs, waits until there are 60 jobs. Once it hits 60 jobs, it merges and sends to press. But I would prefer to take it a step further. I would prefer to do it based on the incoming pdf page counts. When the total number of pages across all the wait...

Conditional Actions based on variables
Hello All, I currently use variable sets and actions via pitstop server hot folders. It works out great for when you want to do the same actions with variable input. But what if you wanted to run specific actions only if a variable value equaled some text. Example: We drop in a multi-page pdf and XM...

Rotate Odd and Even Pages
Hello All, I am trying to figure out how I can create an action that selects pages by Portrait orientation. Then selects the odd pages and rotates them 90 degrees then takes the even pages and rotates them -90 degrees. I have tried many of the rotation changes with no success. The only one I could g...

Detect and fix isolation knock-out transparency groups
Hello All, Im looking for some pitstop help... Back story: We have a system that that processes 1000s of 2 page pdfs a day. We run these RGB pdfs through switch, and through a preflight process. during this preflight we convert everything to cmyk and save out to a folder for imposition. The problem ...
