Re: Sequential Numbering Action List
Hi Guys, It's great if our friend can eventually achieve this but we should provide some easier way maybe. Who would be interested in discussing what should be improved in numbering with PitStop. Any kind of numbering, not just page numbering. Let me know I had already asked for something that woul...

Re: Why does the Page Color Type Report report RGB as black and white?
Hello, I have finally received feedback from Canon: he confirms that the PRISMAsync DFE on the Canon C810 does not offer a pure black option. Preserve pure black is only available in the (PostScript) printer driver, where you can select this option when printing from the open application to the digi...

Re: Why does the Page Color Type Report report RGB as black and white?
Thank you for this very interesting information. I was not aware of this before. I cannot find these settings on our PRISMAsync DFE. I have therefore sent a request to our Canon Integration Specialist and am still waiting for an answer. I could only find this on our DFE: ReinesSchwarzErhalten.png Ge...

Re: Why does the Page Color Type Report report RGB as black and white?
Hi freddyp is there a misunderstanding here? I know about the setting on the DFE to preserve pure black. However, pure black refers to the CMYK black from the black channel, not the RGB black. This setting refers to the conversion from CMYK to CMYK with the help of icc color profiles. It prevents th...

Re: Why does the Page Color Type Report report RGB as black and white?
If PitStop does not know how each individual DFE changes the color content of a file, why does it interpret neutral RGB as black and white? DFEs do not do that. ...the report can tell us is what it theoretically should be ... without any additional transformations . But that's not what happens: it t...

Re: Why does the Page Color Type Report report RGB as black and white?
...PitStop emulates a DFE behaviour using PostScript conversion formulas... Yes, this emulates a behavior that is perhaps not at all common in practice. I don't want to convert the neutral RGB to black and white. I just want to be told that my DFE will print a color page for such RGBs. A neutral RG...

Why does the Page Color Type Report report RGB as black and white?
Hello, I want to use my action list to determine whether my digital press is accounting for black and white or color prints. So I have three questions about this: Why does the Page Color Type Report confirm black and white even though the PDF contains a neutral RGB Black? A neutral RGB Black (where ...

Re: Objects selected by action are not found by the Inspector
...there are other objects than just text, line-art and images... Yes, my approach was to also exclude these other objects by name one by one - I had already found the layers by chance. I failed on the other objects, because I didn't know what they all might be. Unfortunately, the results don't giv...

Objects selected by action are not found by the Inspector
Hello, with my PitStop action list I want to select everything that is NOT 100% gray. This works fine so far, but objects are still found even though they are not present. When I select the reported object via the Enfocus Navigator, the Enfocus Inspector shows that no objects are selected. What are ...

Re: Separating CMYK and Spot Colours
...there's no knockout behaviour and I'm left with a full shape rather than parts cut out of it... Yes, this is a known problem. The trick is that everything you want to omit the foil must also be created with 0% tone value of the foil color (and should be set to overprint in a composite workflow)....

Re: Reorder First Half of File
You could use a JavaScript to solve the task. I made a quick and dirty solution and saved it as an action for Acrobat. Import the action "Reorder First Half of File" into Adobe Acrobat with the Action wizard and apply it to the currently opened document. The action could also be applied to...

Re: Convert Color to Gray and Keep Black Text
Nick, your file converts correctly to 100% gray (i.e. to white) for me, so I can't reproduce your 2% tone output. Have you checked the color management preferences of Acrobat and PitStop to see if they are the same as on the old computer? I have Little CMS set up as the color engine for PitStop. htt...

Re: Convert Color to Gray and Keep Black Text
It is perhaps possible that this is due to the color management defined in the PitStop preferences. Have you tried to switch off the color management temporarily for the action? To achieve this, add the three actions to the action list, as they are marked in the screenshot. https://abload.de/img/con...
