Re: Sort out files with no corresponding XML

I was testing on a server running Switch2022 Fall, and recently updated all the apps, and it would appear they've added a traffic light connection to the XML Pickup app. What's odd is that it's not listed int he change log for the app update, nor in the documentation in the App Store. Anyway, someth...

Re: Pantone Name vs Appearance

This may help you out; it worked on a hasty test file I made. try the Check spot color by PANTONE library action. You can choose the library you want to compare, and check the box for "Check alternate color values."

Re: Trying to split a PDF in 3 different peaces

If you have access to the PitStop workshop videos, Andrew did one devoted to this problem back in May 2019. Here's the link:

Re: Action

There's also standard action list called If it looks Black and convert to Black. You could duplicate it and change the selection so it only affects text.

Re: Check for spot colors

I think this may be what you want:

Select all spot colors
Select spot color by name in list (Die Trace, CutContour, etc)
NOT
AND
Log Selection

It will exclude the specified spots from the selection.

Re: Pitstop Action for making Kongsberg Cut PDF

Magnus Kongsberg Marks.eal.zip One of my favorite tricks when dealing with relative positions is to use the art box to isolate my selection. In the attached example, I shrink it relative to the media box, then it's easy to select everything outside it to move it to the layer. I may have gone a litt...

Re: Best way to convert PDFs to grayscale?

I don't know if you've tried this, but we have pretty good results from overriding color management and remapping to gray in PitStop. It would look something like this: Save current color management settings Override color management settings (set to No) Select All Remap color (we define each color ...

The Database Connect tool can generate a csv log. Do you think that would work for you?

Re: Trim box definition

You could try "Select page by its page box properties." Set it to select pages where the rim box isn't defined, then. change the trim box to whatever it needs to be. It will ignore pages that have a trim defined, regardless of size.

Switch 2021 Web Portal Submit points

Hello, I have 2021 testing on one of my servers, and the new feature where you can choose files from different locations is cool, but ally unnecessary in my workflow. Is there a way to disable the feature, because I think it will cause confusion when/if I release it to the operators who will be usin...

Re: convert raster image to pantone color

I tried adding a trace path, then filling that with reflex blue. I think it looks good, but I didn't tweak the settings at all. Do you think that would work for you?

There's a standard action list called Flatten Form Fields to Normal Content that ought to do the job.

Re: Sending a print a job periodicallly

You can do this with a couple of free apps. Use Dummy Job Clock to inject a dummy file into the flow at whatever interval you need. Then you can use Inject Lite to pick up your print file from the static location, and copy it to the printers. It would look something like the attached image.

Re: Input folder with time-controlled outputs

This may or may not be what you're looking for. If you have an input folder with 3 outbound connections, each with a Hold Job attached to it, you can set a time-of-day condition on each hold (you set that in the outbound connection). Then each one is attached to the appropriate workflow.

Re: Hold files and release when file count is reached

Hi, there's an app in the app store called Hold Job Groups that ought to do the trick for you. I had a similar situation, except I had to change the end file count, just passing the app the variable I set up earlier in the flow works perfectly. Here's the link: https://www.enfocus.com/en/appstore/pr...
