Re: Convert PDF to 200dpi Monochrome TIFF
Thanks freddy. I will get my software updated and take a look. For speed we decided to simply convert straight to TIFF with no options but right now I cant even get the simple 'save as' tool to work. Switch doesn't open acrobat to perform the conversion, and if I open acrobat manually it says: Adobe...

Convert PDF to 200dpi Monochrome TIFF
Hi all. I have a request to handle a large number of PDF files and convert each to a 200dpi Monochrome TIFF. I'm aware of the 'save as TIFF' option within the Adobe Acrobat flow element but it has no properties that I can see. I can't see any option for saving as TIFF within PitStop Server, so right...

Re: Impose Pilot - What does the Function Auto increment pagina and Increment per sheet mean
Is there a possibility it is something to do with creep? eg the increments for each page could be the amount of creep either as a + or - value?

Re: Single Line Text with Variables
Latecomer to this party, but surely 'After_' is the easiest solution (assuming your naming structure is consistent) Actually that doesn't work because as it states in the documentation, "After" extracts “The substring after (and not including) the last occurrence of the search string” so ...

Re: Create PDF content from job metadata
Thanks for the guidance. I played around with the variables within pitstop server while I had the switch trial for metadata. I'm sure if we choose to unlock the metadata functionality I'll soon get the hang of it.

Re: Create PDF content from job metadata
Magic. Thanks for that. I've been testing with the 'Add Object' action within pitstop server but can currently only see a small list of preset variables and no way of adding variables from switch. I have exhausted my trial for metadata but this function opens a new door which could well be worth the...

Create PDF content from job metadata
Not sure if this is a long-shot, or if it's simple and I've missed it... Let me try and word this correctly. Is it at all possible to use the metadata from a file in the flow to populate the content of another PDF? File in flow has metadata pulled from MIS system. Metadata contains 2x pieces of info...

Re: email alert containing list of problem files
You could add an outgoing connection to Problem jobs and Assemble jobs after x minutes and then send a mail. If I assemble all the jobs after x minutes surely the result will be a single job named after the first job? What I'm after is a single file containing all the names of all the failed jobs, ...

email alert containing list of problem files
I have a flow set up where any problem jobs send out an email alert to the user. Within the body of the email is the problem jobs file name [job.name]. If 50 files are submitted and 25 of them fail Switch will send out 25x individual alert emails. Is it at all possible to combine the filenames of al...

Re: PitStop Report within a checkpoint does not link to PDF
If you output both report and the file in an output folder, then I believe it should work if you set "Hyperlinks include unique name prefix" to No Thanks for that. I'm annoyed I missed that option tbh. So, that solves that one, but my main issue remains a mystery. I guess if the makers of...

PitStop Report within a checkpoint does not link to PDF
Hi all. New to Switch. Even newer to the forums. I have stumbled across a problem that I cannot believe exists and that Enfocus don't seem to think is a problem. Because of this I can only assume that everyone works differently and perhaps we are working incorrectly in our Pre-Press department. I ha...
