Displaying additional XMP data
Hi All - I'm trying to display some custom XMP info in the Proof Review to provide more info the customer. I created and add key/value info to our custom XMP namespace to the pdfs that contain job specific info such as Paper Stock, Coating, Die Number, etc. I know I can display them in existing fiel...

Re: Non Printing Layers Printing after Imposition
Hello, I am currently adding non-printing layers to PDF's through Pitstop v24.11 for soft proofs showing media, trim, safety and perf lines. We sent files to various laserwriters and Epson proofers with the desired result of proof lines not printing. We want to use the print ready file to act as bo...

Re: Same Pg Number on multiple pages
There will like 14k pages, every 4 pages is a new 'record' I guess now production would like the same 2d data matrix on page 1 & 3 of 4 pages keeping going up by 1 every 4th if that makes sense. --- I did remember what I did last time with a 3 page but we ended up splitting the file into groups ...

Re: Same Pg Number on multiple pages
That is it!! Thanks!
If I were want to add in a data matrix barcode how would that work? When I tried using the similar action but it uses the actual number in the PDF, so the 2nd group of 4 pages(page 5) has metrix of 5 instead of 2.
Thoughts?

Same Pg Number on multiple pages
Hi All - Once upon a time I feel like I was able to do this, but I can't figure out how I did it. I didn't backup my flow. I'm looking to put the same number on multiple pages. Eg: multiple page pdf pg 1-4 = should all have 1 on them pg 5-8 = should all have 2 on them pg 9-12 = should all have 4 3 o...

Re: Metadata field dependency
@rhd-ole, so if I understand you correct the values in the parent field are predefined in the Submit Point and you then query the database for the values in the child-field based on the choice made in the parent field? That's interesting  Would you be willing to share the script that you are ...

Re: Metadata field dependency
Is there any way to make a metadata field in a Submit Point dependent on the choice in a parent field, if the value in the parent field is retrieved from a database? I have a database containing all available medias in seperate rows. For each media there are different sizes (roll widths). When a sp...

I feel like Private Data Magician is your solution unless I"m missing something. But as other suggest, it's a great app! We do this for lot of things: Use Paper Stock to change to the proper Print Profile & Press Profile Use Paper Stock to give short name of the stock Image scaling on press...

Hello everyone, I'm new here, but I thought you all could assist. I'm now seeking for someone to handle our workflows with Enfocus Switch and PitStop. Re: Find Number Of Records Within PDF
@rhd_ole - what scripting tool are you using that looks at the x/y location in your PDF via the Run Command? Is it Powershell or some other third party command line tool that gives you this ability? This is very interesting to me, Thank you! We use Powershell mainly for stuff like this yes. It's al...

Re: Find Number Of Records Within PDF
Hello folks! Is there a way to query a variable PDF for the total number of records contained therein? Each record within the PDF could contain a variable number of pages. Example: record 1 may contain 20 pages; record 2 may contain 24 pages; record 3 may contain 16 pages, etc.. Page 1 of every rec...

Re: Enjoying PitStop 24.11?
So far, the hierarchy still displayed while making a search is the best UX feature in pitstop since age! So evident I wonder how we were able to work with pitstop before it. Oddly I've had a few in our prepress actually dislike that feature since it made them do more scrolling to find the actual co...
