Re: overlaping stroks to line
We have also zuend cutters, but i want to solve the "problem" in the prepress process and not with the zuend software because that ist always a possibility for errors. the issue is a common problem for us so we have plenty of files Thx I'd be all ears to a solution at the prepress level, ...

Re: overlaping stroks to line
Hello, we created a compose with few boxs with cutcountor with no gaps in between. Now the cutter is cutting each box by its own as well as cutting it twice, because it has an overlap of another box. I need a solution for combining all cutcontor stroks together that it cuts only once that is vertic...

Re: Sequential Numbering Action List
Hi Guys, It's great if our friend can eventually achieve this but we should provide some easier way maybe. Who would be interested in discussing what should be improved in numbering with PitStop. Any kind of numbering, not just page numbering. Let me know If you had the ability to add leading zeros...

Re: I want to use Switch Flow to delete folders and files
I tried to do this as well , but could only do it if I mounted the actual drive on the Switch sever from our FTP, then used a hold job, ultimately we moved to just a script that runs on the actual FTP sever that deletes files older than x number of days from the modified date. It was the easiest sol...

Re: Sequential Numbering Action List
I can add sequential numbers in 2 different ways in Pitstop. But cant work out how to add them to the odd pages only. Then on the odd pages they run in order.001 002 003 etc So Page 1 will be 001 Page 3 will be 002 Page 5 will be 003 Page 7 will be 004 All even pages will have no numbering I think ...

Re: Shapes as comments
It is a weird file. Because if I make a rectangle with the comment tool (as one of the other comments are), and then flatten annotations it is visible. But the ones made by your customer is not. Maybe share it with Enfocus. Because if it is regular annotations and it does not get flattened maybe it...

Are you allowed to share the file?
I can PM you the file, but I don't think I can post it publicly. I'll send it after this is posted.

Re: Shapes as comments
Thanks Jimmy,JimmyHartington wrote: ↑Thu Mar 28, 2024 8:39 pm There is a standard action list named "Flatten Annotations".
I think it does what you need.
I actually tried that, it just removes them vs keeping them in the file.

Shapes as comments
Hoping someone can assist. We've had some art come in where the customer is drawing boxes as a comment in a pdf and it views and proofs correctly but of course will not print in production or on normal office printer with Comments and Forms selected as Document and Markups we missed in preflight due...

Re: Merging Files with common back
The easiest way would be with Pitstop server with action list an variable set. You could do it without as well by assembling then merging each file with the back
How will the files be named? Meaning is it obvious what file is the back based on the name?

Re: Bypass 'Hold job' with time window?
Is it possible to cleanly bypass a 'Hold job' element using a time window without messing up file names and Switch prefixes? We need to do this every so often for escalated priorities or to get things back on track if issues occurred. We've run into issues copying files from the folder before the h...

Re: Passing switch variable in script
I just figured it out and not sure why I spaced it, so posting for anyone else that is self-teaching. variables are just passed in the command line in the execute command. example: "path to your script" %1 %2 [PrivateData:Key="yourvalue"] and then in the script they are done as: ...

We already use it for our storefront work since it directly integrates with it., I'm really looking for other options since we mainly use Bulk Mailer.
