Re: Trim Box Issues From PitStop Server to Griffin
Hi thanks for the response, using the Change Page Size action list didn't fix it, unfortunately. I can definitely send you the before and after files - should I send it through a ticket? Or directly to you? I've also attached my Griffin settings here in case that helps. thanks! EDIT : I don't know w...

Trim Box Issues From PitStop Server to Griffin
I'm putting this in PitStop Server because I *think* this is where the issue lies. I want to layout some random PDF files onto a regular 8.5" x 11" sheet. What I'm trying to do is make a visual job ticket of what actually got printed, so the operator can just drag in the PDF files and get ...

Re: False Positives on Transparency Preflights
Ok, that clears that up. We actually don't have Pitstop Pro here, only Pitstop Server, so I can't really check it in there. I'm going to request a license of Pro so I can check files if necessary. I am familiar with Dov Isaac's words on this topic, and I fully agree. I don't edit the PDFs back in Il...

Re: False Positives on Transparency Preflights
Ok thanks much - I'm just glad I was not crazy! I appreciate the explanation, it really helps. Two things: 1. In Acrobat, which Object Browser and Inspector are we talking about? Is it through the Preflight panels? Or the Object Inspector in the Output Preview window? 2. In Illustrator, it seems fla...

Re: False Positives on Transparency Preflights
Sure I can share it, but what is the best way to provide it to you?
I don't want to post it directly in this thread but I can send it some other way

False Positives on Transparency Preflights
I'm using a Switch Pitstop configurator element with a preflight profile that has one transparency check, which is to check if 'Graphic element is transparent' (see screenshot). These files have no spot colors and no images. All vector. When transparency is found, it routes the offending files out o...

Re: How to duplicate layers in PitStop Server?
Ok now I see. That makes things way more clear.
It even gives me an idea of where I went wrong with some of my previous actions.
Thanks again for your help.

Re: How to duplicate layers in PitStop Server?
It worked like a charm, thanks much.
So that second Select All added before pasting - what exactly is that doing?

How to duplicate layers in PitStop Server?
What is the most efficient way to duplicate a layer via an action list? I know layers are handled differently in a PDF than in something like an Illustrator file, but it's how I'm targeting the objects. I need to create a varnish layer for some tags I'm printing. For this I'm using the ' Make Trace ...

Re: Naming and keeping track of jobs that have been imposed
Ok, this makes sense. I've already implemented Magnus' suggestion and opened up a dialogue with each concerned party, with the goal of building a flow from the ground up with all the desired functionality. Some things I hadn't considered have been brought up, so it's already been fruitful. I'm not s...

Naming and keeping track of jobs that have been imposed
What method do you guys recommend for naming and keeping a log of what jobs go into an imposed layout? Right now we have been moving away from manual setups and doing more with Switch and Griffin Auto. However, the layouts that come out of Griffin I have named with a date and the 5-digit identifier ...

Re: Assemble Job stalling out?
I cannot repeat this behavior (not that I want to), so I guess it was a fluke?
There was a brief period where this kept happening, but as suddenly as it started, it stopped.
Absolutely cannot figure out what was different.
Thanks for the suggestions, though. I will try that if this happens again.

Assemble Job stalling out?
Sometimes this element just does not want to cooperate. I usually set it up to run with 'After N Minutes' set to 1. But sometimes I check the flow, and a bunch of files are piled up in the folder waiting to assemble, and like 10 minutes has gone by. Then I stop the flow and restart it, and it goes t...

Re: Best Methods/Practices for Maximizing Griffin Layout?
Ok, I found it! Under the Repurposing section under Standard.
I swear I typed 'crop' into the search and it didn't come up, but now it does.
Oh well, PitStop gremlins I guess. thanks for the tip this could be really helpful.
