Re: Hundreds of files - one report
As of now, yes, it will always be JPEG and the main parameter is going to be PPI/DPI resolution. But this may change as these jobs start rolling in. But this is enough to get me started, once I have a path to follow I can carry on. Thank you for replying so quickly!

Hundreds of files - one report
Hello all, looking for recommendations on preflighting and reporting on hundreds of files but generating only one report that contains all. Currently looking at 200 individual (not same job) jpg files that we want to check the ppi/dpi on (but not limited to). But no one wants to open/close 200 repor...

Re: Find Number Of Records Within PDF
@rhd_ole - what scripting tool are you using that looks at the x/y location in your PDF via the Run Command? Is it Powershell or some other third party command line tool that gives you this ability? This is very interesting to me, Thank you!

Find Number Of Records Within PDF
Hello folks! Is there a way to query a variable PDF for the total number of records contained therein? Each record within the PDF could contain a variable number of pages. Example: record 1 may contain 20 pages; record 2 may contain 24 pages; record 3 may contain 16 pages, etc.. Page 1 of every reco...

Image Resolution Digital Press
In the offset world the recommended image dpi was/is 300. What is the recommended image dpi for a digital web press these days? Is it still better to have it as high as possible up to 300dpi or is something like 150dpi more preferable? A big client is sending in 560 dpi images and I want to downsamp...

Used ICC Color Profile in Preflight Report
Hi, is there a way to report (Preflight Report) what ICC color profile(s) is being used in PDF's using Switch/PitStop Server? Also, how to best apply the correct color profile in PDF's, swapping out the bad ICC with the good? Color management has always been my weakest skill set.
Thank you!
Thank you!

Execute Command - Working With Returned Data
Hello All, What would be the best way, if possible, to retrieve direct output (output stream?) from a command line operation? Just for example, I run the dir command to capture the total number of files in a directory. I currently have a batch script setup that will redirect the output value to a te...
