Hi Loic,
Yes, you're right. It makes sense now.
Thanks!

Re: Remove Selection not working in Action List
Hi Loic + Bens, Thanks again for the help. I noticed that if I do the crop mark removal only that that works A-OK. I then created a separate action list for the clipping object removal. For some odd reason, they do not work jointly when in the same list as Loic created, at least for me. I then dragg...

Hi Loic,
I swear that I saw this work the first time I tried it, but thereafter it does not remove anything. I have closed Acrobat and restarted repeatedly to get the same results:

Re: Remove Selection not working in Action List
Hi Loic, It appears that you are right. I noticed that I have to "start fresh" in order for it to work. If I experiment with the Action List Visualizer and then undo the changes and then try it ... it won't work. But when I closed out the file and started afresh it did work. Very odd. Than...

Re: Remove Selection not working in Action List
Hi Loic, Thanks for the help. With the action steps I provided previously, it also would not remove the clipping mask. I could see it being selected when using the Action List Visualizer, but no removal. I did try to select trim and bleed marks, but thought it wasn't working because of the location ...

Remove Selection not working in Action List
I am attempting to create an action list that removes a set of cropmarks after the dimension of the trim box has been changed in a previous set of action steps. It also finds and selects a transparent clipping object. After selecting, I would like it to delete first the crop marks which are no longe...

Re: Understanding Left + Bottom columns for Page Boxes in Inspector
Thanks. I deduced what this meant shortly after I posted. Like you are saying: if the other page boxes are the same size as and centered to the media box, the distance from the left side of the media box and the bottom will be 0. Otherwise, any smaller page box will have a distance from the media bo...

Understanding Left + Bottom columns for Page Boxes in Inspector
When dealing with page box conundrums oftentimes there will be some pages in a document that might have different variables for width and height. Likewise there may be differing numbers for the Left and Bottom columns. What do increments in the Left and Bottom columns represent and how do they affec...

Re: Changing color within a gradient
Hi Loic,
Yes, I didn't know it was a well-known bug, but now that you mention I have noticed this being a persistent issue. I will check to see if that resolves the matter.

Re: Changing color within a gradient
Thanks for your help, Loic. I followed your steps as enumerated, and as when I did so manually, I wound up with the same conundrum. When I ran the action list according to your instructions, it did, as seen in the inspector, convert the PANTONE 431 C (Spot Color) to NSB_431 C (see first image). Howe...

Changing color within a gradient
I have a file where, when a global change is run to remap a color, all instances of that color are changed, aside from that color within a gradient. We have a client where, for a job run on an Xerox Iridesse, where the spots must be renamed so that when the Iridesse picks it up, it designates the co...

Re: How to remove everything from Yellow Separation
Thanks again, Jimmy. I am attempting to recreate what you did and can't quite figure a few things out. In "reverse engineering" your action list, I was able to remap in the way that you explained. Remapping the Yellow channel to Spot channel then Spot channel to CMYK. However, things fall ...

Re: How to remove everything from Yellow Separation
Hi Jimmy, Thanks for the action list--it appears to work! I am attempting to deconstruct/comprehend how this works. I recall someone, maybe yourself, saying earlier to remap the yellow channel to a spot color. Does it matter what spot color or just any spot color? What is the alternative CMYK? Are t...

Re: How to remove everything from Yellow Separation
Here is another example of what happens after I run the action steps (See below). On this page many elements disappear and the black images no longer blend with the yellow beneath.

Re: How to remove everything from Yellow Separation
A link below is for the file if anyone would like to take a look. I realize that the easiest way to resolve this would be to as magnussandstrom suggested would be to create a separate job specifically for the yellow plates, but the troubleshooter in me wanted to see if what I presume can be done in ...
