Re: Initiate a job at a designated point in time / last day of the week / month etc.
Thank you Freddy P. That could help indeed :) I will try to use this method in the future, since I have already found a working solution for this particular need - the job is a bunch of files injected from repository using a wildcard, triggered by the dummy initiated at 23:59 pm on the last day of e...

Re: Initiate a job at a designated point in time / last day of the week / month etc.
There are properties on the flow itself that allow to define when the flow can run. Thank you kindly, but that does not help.... It is not the whole flow that needs to be initiated at a designated moment in time, but a job, that needs to be started. I understand that Switch allows for no control of...

Initiate a job at a designated point in time / last day of the week / month etc.
Hi all; Is it at all possible to initiate a job intelligently on the last day of the week / month or sth alike ?? There are options to have a dummy started / job injected etc. at intervals, but seemingly no obvious way crosses my mind if I wanted to start a job at a designated point in time. Last da...

Re: PDFTK does not output PDFs in Switch unless manual folder scan is invoked
I shall report that the suggested amendments did the job and indeed it works as expected. Which on the other hand I am finding strange, since we've been using PDFTK in our flows for the last 3 years and it never worked with "%2" for the output, yet it always did with a fixed path, as examp...

Re: PDFTK does not output PDFs in Switch unless manual folder scan is invoked
Will check that later. I chose a defined path however as the "%2" never worked for me....
Will report after the changes.
Interesting though....

PDFTK does not output PDFs in Switch unless manual folder scan is invoked
Hello clever heads :) I am experiencing an annoying issue with PDFTK server, which seems it does not output PDFs to a folder of choice, unless I go Scan Folders Now manually from the right-click in Switch. Until then, no PDF is produced..... Anyone had anything like that ?? The command is fairly sim...

Re: Add appendix pdf after every page of letter pdf
Well - it can be automated with Quite Hot Folders. But I presume you do not have that one either.... We've been using Quite for years and it was a natural choice to keep things that way when we implemented Switch. But I understand not everyone has got it, in favour of other tools. Yet - this seemed ...

Quite Imposing - insert pages ('from file' at interval).
Done.

Re: Ungroup timeout
@Zoranj - for merging pdfs Apago had a soft which worked based on hotfolders. We use PDF Combine Pro from the CLI. Straightforward server almost like app, without gui, that works OK ish... Few hundred of pdfs totalling hundreds and most often thousands of pages it can process in just couple of minut...

Re: Ungroup timeout
Ungroup Job is not for splitting PDF on a per page basis...
To do that, you'd need to use - Split PDF.
Ungroup "extracts" individual files from a job folder, so that they retain hierarchy, but can be processed individually.
Unless I do not know about some extra functionality of Ungroup....

Re: XSLT help
Have you had a chance to find out if the path to the nod you are referring to, resolved with a correct value in Switch ?? Navigate in Switch to "//order/jobs/job/job-name" of that XML and see if it is correct. If other paths to certain nodes are getting you the right result and they all ar...

Re: Portals failing after update to 4.0
The same thing happens when updating to 5.0. I have not had time to play around, but my first bet was to recreate the IN / OUT portals from scratch, giving them the same values as you already had. In our case it is almost a 100, so I reverted back to 3.0 as it was quicker than recreating those. But ...

Re: CSV to xml
Not that I know of. The metadata module is merely for handling metadata, it is not a converter or creator. This can be achieved with additional tools in type of Switch apps or external 3rd party apps via the command line or hotfolders if applicable. There is plenty of 3rd party tools, that can get y...
