Pitstop discrepancies Preflight report vs Inspector
I am experiencing (not the first time) an odd Pitstop behaviour, where Inspector is showing different values than those that come from a preflight report. In particular - it is about image resolution / size. Below is an extract from the custom Preflight Profile that is run on the file Preflight_Basi...

Re: How to check on & filter PDFs password protected for OPENING
Hi Saitok; Thx for your proposed solution. It makes some sense as a standalone solution, but not really in our scenario / workflow, where the issue is encountered in the middle of a chain of 10 flows. As the locked document can be a part of few tens or hundreds of docs which make for the whole job a...

Re: Check if User Pass Protected for Opening
Hi Lasse;
I know it can be done this way.
But again this is something I would like to avoid, as our flows are basically designed the way that there is no routing out of ProblemJobs. So when a file lands there its definite and no routing out is allowed.
But I guess this may be inevitable here :-/

Re: Check if User Pass Protected for Opening
Only to keep you in the loop of this case I am working on here - PitStop Server indeed reports and sends the locked file to Original Docs on Error, but no document is processed even in the Processed Docs on Error. This is fine to the point you get a report, stating that "Unknown Encryption pass...

Re: Check if User Pass Protected for Opening
Thx for this solution, but unfortunatelly it does not seem to be covering this case. What you say indeed detects security, but seemingly not this kind of security I am afraid. It detects protection for modification, printing, assemble, content copying etc. and indeed this password protection somehow...

Check if User Pass Protected for Opening
Is there a way of checking with Pitstop if a PDF is protected with a password for opening ?? Not to modify, not to print or assemble etc. - but to OPEN a document, so that with no password it cannot even be read. I could not find any relevant option with Pitstop. Anyone knows anything ?? Any hints w...

How to check on & filter PDFs password protected for OPENING
Dear All; I am looking for a solution (within Switch & Pitstop Server, but also anything else that could work within Switch is welcome) to be able to check and filter documents that are Password protected to OPEN the document. Switch does not return anything (going Stats -> SecurityMethod) on su...

Re: Excel to Switch
Switch comes with MS Excel configurator, but it only allows you to save Excel documents to PDF, XPS and older Excel format. What you require is ability to read the very content of the document, which can be achieved but not directly with the Excel configurator. You would probably need to convert Exc...

Re: Job time control
There is a similar Topic from few days ago, where it was suggested quite rightly to use File pool Cleanup app. It's part of the free Folder App (https://www.enfocus.com/en/appstore/product/folder-apps) and allows to clean / move jobs to for example Recycle bin, based on their time stamp / modificati...

Re: Multiple datasets in one Text path
Or simply do the operation 3 times :) First read the variable from 1 dataset, store it as PrivateData, then repeat the same for the 2nd dataset, store it as new Dataset with both variables in (may use Private Data Extractor - but still cheaper than the scripting module) and voila. You have both vari...
