Re: Problem with Pitstop Server CMM
Did you set the colour management settings only in the PitStop Server preferences, or also on the PitStop Server configurator in Switch? The configurator does not use the preferences from PitStop Server, it uses its own settings. It looks like the conversion was done with CMM disabled, which is the ...

Re: Path edition: how to add direction handles to a path point?
It is possible actually; PitStop is even better than you think ;-) Select the point using the "Edit Path" tool. Make sure you actually have one or more anchor points selected, and not just the path. Then in the PitStop Pro menu go to Object - Set Curve Anchor Point. The handle bars will ap...

Re: Convert bunch of RGB images in PDF into specific ICC CMYK
It is. In the Action List editor look for "override color management settings".I suppose it's not achievable with action command...?

Re: Convert bunch of RGB images in PDF into specific ICC CMYK
What you want is an Action List. There are many ways to approach this, but the easiest is probably this: Override colour management settings with as CMYK output profile the one you need. Select all Convert to CMYK Tag with ICC profile, again the one you need. You might want to exclude specific objec...

Re: Split Paths In Pitstop
If your path consists of separate subpaths you can just remove subpaths without affecting the rest of the path. Unselected subpaths are, by default, show with a yellow selection drawing when you select another subpath of the same path. However if I understand correctly it's more likely you want to c...

Re: Splitting even paged PDFs in half saved as two files
PitStop Server is always 1 PDF in, 1 PDF out. It will never create multiple PDFs out of one input file. However, Switch has "Split PDF" tool, which supports variables. I couldn't immediately find a variable for the number of pages in the input file, but I might've just overlooked it. If al...

Re: Spot colors from imported color library not selectable
Your screenshot shows a defined _colour value_ and not a _spot colour_. A spot colour is really not a colour but a whole collection of colours: a tint of 1% Coca-Cola Red looks very different from 100% Coca-Cola Red. But in your screenshot you have the colour RGB 237, 188, 50. That is one specific c...

Re: color not selectable on text line
Objects that cannot be selected by PitStop are typically annotations. Try flattening annotations with an Action List. There are other possibilities, but that's the most likely.

Re: operator NOT to select pages
When you say you're using the standard action, do you mean you have two Action Lists in your hot folder: first your own with the select pages + NOT, then the standard Convert Color to Gray and Keep Black Text? If so that will not work because the standard Action Lists have been written to be indepen...

Re: Pitstop check overlapping text
The Action List "Find Overlapping Text" logs any objects that overlap any text. That is indeed not what it says it should do, so I'd consider that a bug. Luckily it's easy to fix: replace the "Select all" at the top with "Select text segments" (so you'd have two "S...

Re: Send to back has disappeared
It seems like Adobe indeed deployed an update to Acrobat, and you were one of the unlucky ones that got the build early. Long live continuous updates.

Re: Scale page (fill within 210x297 mm)
I think this could work: 1. Select all (or whatever selection you need) 2. Scale selection to trim box height, keep width proportional 3. Select objects inside trim box (inside only, not overlapping) 4. AND 5. Scale selection to trim box width, keep height proportional Step 2 will either give the si...

Re: Clarify Select All
Oh and something else: there is normally just one "active" selection. You can think of this like a stack of plates. When you need a new plate you pick the top one, no matter how many are on the stack. So if you have "Select all + Select images + Change color" then the "Chang...

Re: Clarify Select All
This question touches on some technical details of how PitStop works. Specifically it is important to know that "Select all" selects all objects. So what is an object? Basically anything you can think of in a PDF. That includes text, images, line art, and shadings of course. But it also in...

Re: Changing Spot Colors to CMYK in Gradients
Hi wgmeeker, You can remove those extra stops by dragging them down; I would not recommend this however. Those extra stops are being added in order to maintain the visual appearance of the gradient. In your example the original gradient has two colours defined: the green at the beginning and pinkish...
