Re: Warning! Do not restart Switch!
Is this back?!? Gets error messages that says "Failed to check unassigned apps: Cannot get data from Web Service" As I wrote this I get info about it is our internet-provider that has a problem, but why can't I start up Switch in some "local-mode" so our production is not effecte...

Re: Rich black text
If you only checks for this, then you can set so if the pitstop-report says error then the file goes an other way, and if the pitstop-report don't find any problem the file can go the normal way..

Re: Switch Not Processing
We've experienced the same thing. We "solved" it by setting our Switch server to restart every day automatically. I'm pretty sure this cron line is all we do (this probably isn't recommended but it solves this problem and unmounted folders not remounting properly): 59 23 * * * /sbin/shutd...
Re: Split PDF
An alternative approach is to use PitStop Server with Action Lists to remove pages. In the "Select pages" Action you can use reverse selections when selecting a page range. The selection for the first two and last two pages is: 1,2,R1,R2; for the other pages it is: 3-R3. Very good to knew...

You can use PdfSpy from Apago Software to find the right page, then use an pitstop action to insert the extra page..

Re: let files run through the flow in a defined arranged order
I have noticed that if I separated a pdf in to page it is not neccesery the correct page order that gets later in a flow. And I think that is becuse some page is larger than other.so if eg page 1 is bigger than page 2 (in MB), then page 2 cames first sometime.. Has nothing to do with the name.. If y...

Re: FTP Password
Set the file/folder name in 'Private data key' from 'Rename Job'/'Remember original name' and use that to set the password in FTP-confuguratorn. Use 'Define single-line text with variables' and use 'Job'/'PrivateData' and set 'Key' to same as you set in Rename Job.

Sure! I'm fine tuning it at the moment, so you can sure take advantage of my findings. Will take a couple of days tho. Are you planning to buy Production Center? Thanks! Yes, we start talking about it last fall, but the distributor in Sweden didn't have any to show/demo to us. When the spring has b...

Re: HP Smartstream N-up question
Ok, I made progression. On each of my iPC's there's a setting changed. Now, if I supply 100 copies and 2 up, the total sheets printed is 50 instead of default DFE behavior where it is set to 100 copies. In my old templates I did the calculation and set the total copies. Now, just supply anything wi...

Re: HP JDF Control - Unable to move asset to asset file Location
The file was never copied to the Indigo Server from the HP JDF Control Switch Configurator. The first time Switch gets an error says it can't copy, and then after resending the file from Switch error-folder it says it copied the pdf-file but no file gets to the 'JDF Assets'-folder.. And in the Serve...
