How to quit an application (e.g. InDesign/Photoshop) after using in a flow
Hello everyone, is there the possibility to quit an Adobe application after a job has been completed? Examples are: a flow in which a PDF is created from InDesign or another flow in which an action is executed with Photoshop. In both cases, the programs remain open after the job is completed. Is it ...

Re: Performance Switch flows vs. PitStop Server hotfolder
Couple of points; Are you on the latest Switch 19 Fall? (Whatever Fall is !) There was some issue prior to that with Pitstop in switch not releasing the process. As it is when Switch is doing the PitStop work in the Progress window you should see how many files are being processed. See if closing t...

Re: Performance Switch flows vs. PitStop Server hotfolder
Hi Padawan, thanks for your answer. I have done a test in PitStop Server (standalone) and there are approx. 25 (!) concurrent processes. Transferring it in a simple calculation: 25 processes (PitStop) : 4 processes (Switch) = Faktor 6,25 In my first testcase there are ca. 500 PDFs with a size of 100...

Re: Performance Switch flows vs. PitStop Server hotfolder
Sorry, here is the value for Concurrent processing (4). I post a screenshot of the complete settings. Sorry for being in german. I hope you will understand. :? I wonder why lots of values differ from the defaults in the manual. For example "Release acquired slots after (minutes). Default should...

Re: Performance Switch flows vs. PitStop Server hotfolder
We have the setting "0". That was the setting after installation. All available slots should be used. Although in the manual the value "1" is given as "Default". (see https://www.enfocus.com/manuals/UserGuide/SW/19.1/home.html#en-us/common/sw/reference/r_processing.html...

Re: Performance Switch flows vs. PitStop Server hotfolder
We have a virtual machine (Win Server 2019) with Quad core and 16 GB RAM.
The Switch modules are Switch Core Engine, Configurator, Metadata and Switch Client Module.
I have changed the flows property "Allow advanced performance tuning" to "Yes" but with no effect.

Performance Switch flows vs. PitStop Server hotfolder
Hello together, have you had the same experience with the performance of switch flows compared to clean PitStop Server workflows? I have found that a switch-based PDF processing flow is slower than if the same functionality is only implemented with a PitStop Server hotfolder. Example: PitStop Server...

Download App without Switch-registering
Hello together, actually our Switch installation has no internet connection. We have done the licence activation with the offline method and it worked fine. Our Switch installation appears under "My products" in our Enfocus account, but not under ">My Appstore > My Switch". And w...

Re: "Assemble job" doesn't compose job from "Ungroup job"
Take a look at this post: https://forum.enfocus.com/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=3615#p10917 I solved the problem with leading zero with a regex-search/replace. Additionally I have to add a "p" at the beginning. I have put it in a Switch-"Rename"-element. Maybe it's not the smartest ...

Re: Numbering files after pdf split
Update:
I have solved the problem with renaming and calculation.
001.pdf -> 2.pdf
002.pdf -> 4.pdf
003.pdf -> 6.pdf
I have done a calculation on the filename (*2). But then I loose the leading zeros.

Re: "Assemble job" doesn't compose job from "Ungroup job"
Hi Freddy, thank you so much - it works! I didn't know that "Automatic" meant the origin file number. Next I will give the PitStop Global Change a chance. But in the end we need single pages for the exchange workflow with the print supplier and in our preparation process there are differen...

Hello together, I hope someone can help me. This is my task I want to solve with Switch. A multi-page PDF (spread pages) has to be split in single pages. All pages has to be duplicated. Numbering files after pdf split
Hello togehter, I hope you can help me. A multi-page PDF document is divided into individual pages. The individual documents should then be numbered consecutively. However, the numbering should start at 2 and should always be counted 2 higher. I tried to assign a start value and a count value in the...

Re: Adobe Creative Cloud license for Switch
Hi Freddy, thanks so far. We know about ImageMagick and actually realize our image conversion tasks with it (not via Switch, but with a webservice of our Digital Asset Management). But there are some issues/tasks (like layer handling and complete support of file format options) where ImageMagick has...

Adobe Creative Cloud license for Switch

We have a Switch installation with configurator module and make some tasks in Photoshop ...
