Acrobat Security settings
I have run into a problem when calling Acrobat via the configurator in Switch. I simply want Acrobat to save a PDF into different formats like Word, Plain Text, HTML and others. This works fine for me on my own setup on both Mac and Windows. However, when trying to do this on a costumers Windows Ser...

Re: Trying to split a PDF in 3 different peaces
Hey, I just found that you can actually do it all in one action. If you open the one page document, make an action that inserts two new pages. Then select Page 1. Copy the selection to clipboard. Select page 2 and paste the content of the clipboard. Repeat this for page 3. This way you have a three ...

Re: Trying to split a PDF in 3 different peaces
If you duplicate the first page twice, so that you end up with a document that contains three identical pages. I'm not sure that this can be done in Pitstop, but if you have Switch it's easy. Otherwise you could duplicate the page manually in Acrobat. Then you make an action, that selects the first ...

Re: How to sync two folders?
No, that won't work. This will only copy any file placed in folder A to folder B. I'm not aware of any way to sync two folders as you are requesting, in Switch. However, there seems to be plenty af software out there capable of automatic syncing of two folders - just not running inside Switch.

Re: Extract images from PDF
Thanks a lot, Jan. I'll definitely have a closer look at this solution. Meanwhile I found out, that if you let the Acrobat configurator save as XML it actually creates a folder containing all images :o . In the Acrobat preferences you can even choose between JPEG, PNG or TIFF and determine the resol...

Re: How to sync two folders?
If folder A is a Submit Hierarchy (with "leave originals in place" and "Set hierarchy path" both set to "yes") and folder B is an Archive Hierarcy with the same number of subfolder levels, I see no reason why that wouldn't work.

Extract images from PDF
Acrobat has a function to export all images from a PDF as JPEG, JPEG 2000, PNG or TIFF. Is this possible using a script with the Acrobat Configurator in Switch?

Re: Selection and removing CMYK objects apart from spot objects
You could either do as bens suggests to select everything you want to remove or maybe it is more safe to remove everything BUT the things you want to keep. The later could be done with an action like this: Select all Select line art Select all spot colors AND NOT Remove selection Using this method y...

Re: PitStop 13 Pro update 2
I have experienced major conflicts between Pitstop Pro 13 and Prinect PDF ToolBox in Acrobat DC. Not sure if there is a problem in Acrobat X as well. Any specific reason not to tryk PDF ToolBox 16, which is a free download from Heidelberg as far as I understand. https://www.heidelberg.com/global/en/...

Re: Downsample PDF with better quality.
Sorry to say Pär, but IMHO the sample from Pitstop looks better than that from PDF Enhancer  . You are right, that lines are harder but to me it just looks as if the image i sharper. The blurry look at the sample from PDF Enhancer seems to derive from a much lower JPEG compression. If you real...

Pick up only loose files
At first sight this might sound simple, but it has turned out to be quite challenging (at least to me :?) I want Switch to pick up files from a certain directory on an FTP Server. This directory holds loose files and many folders. I only want to pick up the loose files on the first level - NOT the f...

Re: Help with RegEx
Excuse my ignorance, but I don't think I understand how this could solve the problem?
I need a way to exclude the double quote (") from the result that is returned. In a javascript RegEx this would workbut it can't be used inside Switch

Help with RegEx
I have found the following Regular Expression very useful to look for a URL in a long text string: (ftp:\/\/|www\.|https?:\/\/){1}[a-zA-Z0-9u00a1-\uffff0-]{2,}\.[a-zA-Z0-9u00a1-\uffff0-]{2,}(\S*) Used on the following text string: <td bgcolor="white" style="padding:5px !important;” cl...
