Distiller or Save as postscript settings?
You would have to set the export settings in the save as postscript widow in Acrobat. It will remember the last settings used. I find it easier to use callas pdfToolbox to do these things since it is multithreaded. Acrobat Pro can only work on one file at a time. pdfToolbox also has a function to &q...

PitStop Pro is the only one that can create an action list. You can't view/edit an action in PitStop Server. PitStop Server only allows you to load/unload/delete/rename.

Very handy Dwight!~ Didn't know that! dkelly wrote: Dave, Switch can modify the size of a PDF page. You have to use a 3rd party application. As Matt recommended Pitstop, pdfTool or PDF Enhancer can all directly scale the PDF to any size. Using Indesign would be inefficient. The PDF would be wrapped ...

You can do this with tools like callas pdfToolbox Server. I'm pretty sure it can also be done with PitStop Server using an action list.

You must be using Mac OS X's unzipping utility then. It should only extract the .sflow file. That's one of the troubles of Mac OS 's unzip utility; it goes too far. An .sflow file (Switch Flow) is really just a .zip archive. The flow I created is for PowerSwitch 10, I'm not sure if it will work in 0...

Open the flow in Switch and you'll see some folders connected together. The connections have the logic to detect if there are colors named "PANTONE" in the PDF's or not. It's functional but by no means complete. Just copy those elements into your flow. Test out the flow by itself and see h...

No, they aren't encrypted. It is a good question though. I too have noticed it. They open up just fine, process just fine, can be edited etc. I just chalked it up to a UI "issue". Delete's just fine from Explorer/Finder.

You could start with a workflow segment like this.
http://www.mattbeals.com/misc/create_fo ... _names.zip
That should start you down the right track.

Make Acrobat print with different printsettings
Qoppa has a print utility for Switch that can handle some of this. It can't touch all of the printer properties though. As I recall from my conversation they are writing their software in Java and there is a limit to what it can see. So the work around is to create printer instances with the various...

2 x Powerswitch servers in tandem?
You almost need a script that runs in front of Switch to hand files to either Switch server. I have a customer that wrote a custom program that they can set to copy the same data to both servers, only one server or alternate delivery between the two.

Why? Well, lots of people do these sorts of things intentionally or unintentionally. It sounds as if the Limagito solution is workable with the two servers.

2 x Powerswitch servers in tandem?
It may be best to leave the processing the way it is. Using the load balancer may be problematic in that you need to control how many files go to each server. The load balancer is necessarily setup well for a/b a/b a/b a/b . It needs to see how many files reside in a's folder before it sends to b. B...
