InDesign Server Configurator issue
Hi all, I am trying to use the InDesign Server CS6 configurator with Switch 12u1. Even a simple go through flow raises an error : Erreurs possibles dans AppleScript : la commande '/usr/bin/arch -i386 osascript /tmp/SWITCH_applescript__1ce4ae00' a renvoyé l'avertissement '/tmp/SWITCH_applescript__1ce...

Checkpoint file output connection based on metadata
Hi Dwight,
Yeah you are right, that's the way to go. Thanks a lot. Still worth a feature request though

Checkpoint file output connection based on metadata
Hi Dwight, Thanks again for your effort. What you offer is logical and indeed what I do. Problem is, there is still place for manual errors. I mean that user can "reject", states why and though might pick the ok folder. So the file will be possibly printed inspite of the operator decision....

Checkpoint file output connection based on metadata
Hi Dwight, Thanks for your interest. Sure I could but what matters me is that if the operator wants to discard the file, I want to force him to justify why. If I only work with connections, I may not know why he refused some file. And If I lt the field no matter what, the user won't understand why h...

Checkpoint file output connection based on metadata
Hi All, I have a checkpoint for an operator to validate a file. Actually he has to choose into which connection the file has to be outputted. I wish i could not expose the connections list and have the connection determined by the usr choice. Here is a screenshot of what I have in mind : The reason ...

Lost the merge element
Hi Freddy,
Alas it doesn't seem to work. I am about to delete any enfocus folder I can found and start from scratch to see if it fixes it.
Thanks anyway,
Loic

[SOLVED] InDesign file generation and closing issues
Hi, If your job is a XML file and you want it injected in a InDesign file, you have to work at two levels. 1) In the "open" section of InDesign configurator, use a script to open your indesign template 2) In the command section, call your main script. All you have to do is to use the "...

Is Switch 12 buggy ?
Hi DKelly, Thanks for your feedback. I feel a bit les lonely :) I will report to enfocus as well. Fact is I installed 12 over 11 and maybe the installation was corrupted somehow. I did a fully uninstallation, tracking every single piece of files related to Switch and re install over. For what I can ...

Is Switch 12 buggy ?
Hi all, I installed Switch V12 recently and I have many troubles. V11 was perfectly fine. Is it just me ? For example, my view is randomly changed, some flows cannot be stopped once ran. Some operations, even the simpliest ones, fail to execute. I have a MBP with OSX 10.7.5 installed if this can hel...

[SOLVED] InDesign file generation and closing issues
Hi, I am trying to generate indesign documents on the fly based on a xml input. To get Switch to run InDesign module, it seems I have to use a custom open script in order to open a dummy document (I don't need it really). So later my script opens an indt template, populate some data, export files…It...
