Re: Clip all objects outside trim or bleed area
I created what i believe you meant, please see screen shots, I did not have a any luck getting it to work, so maybe there is an element i am missing or that i did not convey initially. So i have included a link to the multi page pdf for your use. Was wondering if you could point me in the proper dir...

Clip all objects outside trim or bleed area
Hi, So a die maker is telling me all the invisible lines are confusing his plotter. I can see all the lines he means, and maybe that it does to some degree. Other die makers do not complain about it. I am supplying images of an imposed file showing the problem he has and one page of a pdf that shows...

Remove 4 color process for 5 color pdf
I have a sample pdf attached, it is 5 colors, 4 color process and 1 5th color PMS. I need to remove the 4 color process, leaving the 5th color all by itself. Sometimes, like the sample attached remapping the cyan, magenta, yellow and black, to “None” it removes the 4 color but does not leave a white...

Re: UTC date & date
Hi again, So I tried every way I could to change the format through the system, nothing seems to affect how the date is displayed. By chance, would you know someone for me to contact, maybe in Enfocus? I know this sounds trivial but this person I'm dealing with is totally unreasonable and refuses to...

Re: print only spot colors
I'm still trying to make a comeback from covid. That wiped out 4 of my 6 most active clients. I do this on a part time basis, so 6 was really a handful. If I want this guys work, this is how they want it. They get pdf's also, I assume they would check things there but they require hard proofs. And i...

Re: print only spot colors
Hi and yes that is how I was viewing it. Basically I need to provide a color overlay (color laser) of each spot color separation on top of an composite epson. So the person can see how the spot colors are broken down. Sometimes the specs they give have spot colors that are close to being the same co...

Re: print only spot colors
Taking this slightly further, is it possible to move any spot colors to their own layer, by color name? This person I work for is ok if the color difference is great. But when the colors are similar with just subtle difference between shades, he wants them on their own laser so he can clearly see wh...

Invisible data on page
Hi everyone, So I'm trying to make sense of the remove invisible Data action. It works pretty well but does not get rid of the lines and rules that do not have a fill or a color. For example, if a card is 50 up on a sheet it will remove the filename and date but will leave the crop marks that are hi...

UTC date & date
Using both these variables I’ve found out there is no difference between. They both spell out the Colette month name followed by day and year. I understand UTC Date should be yyyy-mm-dd. I did this inside ADD OBJECT->TEXT—> and the variable.
Anyone see this? Or seen it before?

Re: resizing media and crop box
Hi, wow, thanks. that was exactly what I needed. I added to it, removing existing crops, re-adding marks, then file name, page count to lower bottom left and Date and time to the lower bottom right. Now if I understand it, from reading about batch processing, this is limited to the server version of...

resizing media and crop box
I have several pdf's that are multi page. The media box is much larger than the art within the trim box and off center. On the bottom is information from Indesign slug. On the right side is misc information that is also not needed throwing everything in all different directions. I'd like to resize t...

Batch processing actions
Would anyone be able to tell me how to use an action on many separate files in a folder? Is there a batch process or a way to use an action I made on hundreds of files?

import actions
Hi, This is actually a 2 part question. 1) Am I able to import an existing created action into an action that I making? Example, I need to add crop marks a certain distance away from the trim .25 in. The action I have for that is already made and used regularly. But I would like to place that action...

Separate spot colors from process
What I need to do is print paper overlays (lasers in their pms color) on top of epson proofs to show what on the page is printing in pms. (printing separations is fine but prints on lasers as black, I need it n color) What I would like to end up with is 3 layers when finished, Spot color Layer, Proc...

print only spot colors
Hi, trying to find a feasible way to just print all spot colors in a pdf, combined onto one piece of paper for proofing purposes. The spot colors need to be seen separate from the 4-color process. Ideally, I would like to show just the 4 color as well without the spots. Was wondering if anyone knows...
