Re: Activate FTP download from email
Ftp configurator is designed to poll server based on your specification so it would replace your service. If you want to use it in different way, all I can think of is once you receive email, parse email and extract file name, than use Wget or similar tool/script to download file directly from gener...

Re: Switch 2019 Spring Edition
Just to report that I took plunge this last weekend and upgraded Switch to 2019 Spring edition. I run into issue with Submit Points. None of Submit Points updated properly and did not work (I used latest "fixed" installer). I had to add brand new Submit points from scratch and copy/paste p...

Re: Switch 2019 Spring Edition
I am waiting on someone else to take a plunge first.
Based on previous experience, it is not worth the trouble, better wait than be sorry.

Re: Different Colour Values
From what I can see, they are different colors, RGB at that. My advice is to convert to CMYK and make them identical values. Some rips by default are configured to treat images and vector with different profiles, you can try to change that as well on your rip to make sure same profile is used for bo...

Re: Split very large PDF
I am afraid Pdftoolkit will give you similar performance like split pdf configurator.
At least that was my experience when I was in same situation.
I tried emailing author of Pdftollkit to ask if there is an option to recompile it to use more memory, never got response from him.

Re: Moving to a new Machine & Switch version Upgrade
I think that is certainly good approach if you want to learn how it all works.
Keep in mind it might not be just settings or folder, there could be additional app or even installation of Node.js or Python that was used.

[FEATURE REQUEST] Customization of Switch Dashboard
Switch dashboard looks very promising. I would like to request further customization of "widgets" of the dashboard so we can choose what we want to track. e.g. I am getting "Recycle bin" or flows that do not mean much to me, etc.. If this is possible to do right now, I did not fi...

Re: Flow for Preflighting InDesign files
You can fail it if it does not have font or image is low-res.
In my solution I just took fail connection and emailed it to whoever submitted it in the flow (email from submit point).

Re: Paste trim size after imposition of the size of orginal card
Padawan's method should work fine.
If you want to do it with Quite Hot Imposing, you can be creative and first rename your file/page to add dimensions, than use "Stick on Text" in Quite Hot Imposing and pull field "File Name Short".
I hope this helps

Re: replace xml values with switch values
It works fine but limit is 3 values to replace for some reason.
If you add 4th, it stops working.
You could daisy chain and add script as many times as you want, times 3 values.

Re: Submit Hierarchy SubFolders
My recommendation if you want to learn how Hierarchy works in Switch is to watch excellent workshop from September 2017.
It explains in detail how it works, it is resource I refer to often when I am building something with hierarchy.

Re: Ink Coverage
If you want accuracy, you should get it from your workflow that generates plates. Workflows typically have printing/plating curves that will change amount of ink per separation, sometimes drastically compared to PDF. You might even run certain amount of GCR/UCR in your workflow which will drasticall...
