Switch Client

Post by LasseThid »

Not sure if this is the correct forum, but here we go...

We had a PC setup with Switch Clint 12 where the people in our large format department could go to find the jobs they needed to print and then send them to their machines, however, the power supply on that PC shorted out and since it's a custom power supply we put a new PC there instead.
Having installed Switch Client on the new PC we are for some reason unable to get it to connect to out Switch server.
If I connect my Mac to the same network cable I can connect without any problems, but not with the PC.
I then found an older laptop and installed the Switch Client and again I'm unable to connect to the Switch server.
Pinging works fine, browsing works fine, but not the Client.
Any ideas as to what might be wrong?
Also are there an updated Switch Client for download anywhere?

Yup!
Disabled Windows Firewall and Antivirus, still no go.
I even tried to Run As Administrator...

After a searching high and low I finally managed to find the updates to Switch and Switch Client...

Strange, you are using default port 51008 to connect?

Yup.
Correct port, IP-address, username and password.

I did however manage to solve the problem by installing Switch Client 13... :o
Don't ask me why Switch Client 12 has been working flawlessly until the PC crashed two weeks ago... *sigh*

That's strange behavior!

Good to know it's working now!
