Apago has developed a solution for detecting missing fonts in Adobe Illustrator files using the standard Switch AI configurator. This feature is available in Indesign configurator but not Illustrator.
If an Illustrator file is missing fonts, the job will fail automatically with a log message listing the names of the missing fonts.
