IDML to postscript

Hi all,
Currently I am using the indesign configurator to convert IDML to postscript however this can be a very long process if there are quite a few idml files to convert and also by using the indesign configurator this causes a conflict when flows use smartstream.
Has anyone got any better ideas to how i could convert an IDML file into a postscript file?
Also I would rather not pay for indesign server.
