HTTPS GET request error

Just recently we updated http to https. Now when using Switch Element HTTP or Scripting HTTP class we receive the following error, 'HTTP GET request error: Server disconnected before handshake completion [0xffffffff]'.
Our IT indicated that we must enable TLS v1.1 on the Server in order for us to successfully download using https. Has anyone else run into this issue?
