Creating low res pdfs

Post by LasseThid »

I have a flow that at one stage of the flow creates a low res pdf. When we had Switch running on a Mac this worked perfectly, however since we moved to Windows the destiller will fail with this error in messages: "Error while distilling file 'C:/Users/Admin/AppData/Roaming/Enfocus/Switch Server/backing/Indigo Submit/automanaged/Destill/_00MZ4_P167241_STIHL_NORRASKOG_ERBJUDANDE_A4 (002)_Korrektur.ps'; check Distiller log output for more details". There is no file places in the Logs folder going from the Acrobat Distiller.
If I drag the postscript file to Acrobat Distiller it will distill just fine.
Any Ideas what might cause this problem?

Run PitStop server instead for this.

There is an Action List that comes with PitStop that resamples images in a PDF, it is called "Resample for Web" and is found in the image folder. Change the settings to what you want.

Hi LasseThid,

I met the same issue, there is a fix, due to an Acrobat Update.

Read this article to handle correctly Acrobat Distiller :

Ask at Enfocus for the modified Distiller.vbs, or send me a private message, I will send you a Download Link.
