Read OutputIntent as String

Post by Frank0 »

Hi,

can we use Switch to read/check the output intent of a PDF-X file with a string (like a creator or the applikation), is this possible?

Many thanks

Yes.
Make a new action.
Under color add Check Output Intent with your reference.

I'm not sure, but I think the name of the output intent is stored somewhere in the internal Xmp metadata of the PDF file. If you have the metadata module, then you can access the Xmp metadata via Switch variables.

Acrobat XMP-data that is visible in Switch doesn't contain the Output Intent.

Best way is to use Apago PDF Spy, it will list the output intent in a Dataset
