uncompress and create pdf

Post by arosario@sg360.com »

OK, are there more example flows? I'm getting confused on the to assemble, disassemble, split jobs, etc.

We are pretty new to this and I am trying to build a flow that handles a zip file with multiple subfolders of native files

So I'd like to unzip the file to an originals location,
Process each of these subfolders as a job,
go through them all, open the indesign file and try to use a create pdf tool.
Then save all the updated native stuff to an output folder matching the original structure,
put pdfs somewhere else

I know, dream workflow but some of this should be achievable.
The intro workflows aren't helping me that much.

Hi
Yes it's all achievable.
I would suggest you contact your reseller and ask for their help to get you going.
It'll save you time and grief in the end.
I'm a reseller but I'm sure users would agree.

There are a number of levels and questions that would need to be asked to sort this out.
A few tips.
Files come in and you need set hierarchy to put them somewhere later.
Connections can filter files ie zip file go to unzip etc.
You need the configurator module and Adobe CS on the Switch server to be able to make PDFs from native files.
