WebDav

Post by jpestell »

Hi
I need to pass a pdf to a WebDav folder, Switch is running on Windows and I have enabled the WebDav redirector which allows mapping a drive.

But the issue is, Switch doesn’t like this local path using the mapped drive, if I use the network path the authentication takes too long causing the transfer to fail.

I have tried the WebDave app https://www.enfocus.com/en/appstore/product/webdav but this errors and the support doesn’t respond.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Switch runs with elevated permissions. This causes an issue when you setup mapped network drives in Explorer because these are only available for processes with normal permissions.

You can make mapped drives available for Switch by:
- Googling how to map the network drive via the Windows Cmd Prompt and running the commands in an elevated command prompt.
You can start an elevated command prompt by right clicking cmd.exe in the start menu and choosing "Run as administrator"

or
- Installing Explorer++
- Starting Explorer++ via right click, "Run as administrator"
- Use Explorer++ started this way to do the mapping of the network drive
