HP SmartStream Error Messages

Post by littly_kittly »

I have created a Smart Stream job and have sent it to the printer to print it.

The job is sent as a JYLT fast template file.

When the printer prints it, he gets the following error message:

test3_20375_covers Number of columns in database does not match number of columns referenced in the job: Columns 152, Fields 599 OBJ 1 0

I have run a preflight on the job and it finds no errors.

I would appreciate some suggestions, as I am at a loss as to how to even to begin to troubleshoot this.

Thanks!

The printer being used to print them is:

Two Indigos. A 7000 and a 7500.

The DFE is running version 4.6.25 I-Fix 1

System manager version 2.1.74

Hello, that error message does not have anything to do with the PDF file format and won't be detected by a PDF preflight program. Rather, it is related to the database not having the same structure as what the file references, mostly probably related to variable data field(s).

Hi

Thank you so much for taking the time to help me. I really do appreciate it.

When I say "preflight", I mean the Preflight that is built into Smartstream.

Rather, it is related to the database not having the same structure as what the file references, mostly probably related to variable data field(s).
How do I go about troubleshooting that?

In Smartstream, I click on "Verify database" and it gives the following message:

Some DB report rows contain more fields than the DB header. The rows are: 1-132

What does this mean?

Thank you for any help you can offer.

After lots of troubleshooting, I have found that the problem lies with the images.

Are there any special settings that have to be used when using images with a fast template smart stream file?

I have saved my images as an EPS.
