I'm going crazy since my company has decided to check the Total Area Coverage on every single page we print.

The main problem that i found out is:

I have different values If i measure a CMYK area with:

Acrobat Output Preview

Enfocus Pitstop

Photoshop

Has someone experience on these cases?

Best

The amount of ink produced by a specific colour in the PDF are very much dependent on the colour management settings. If PitStop and Acrobat use different ICC profiles to calculate the values, then the result will be different. Make sure the colour management settings are exactly the same in every application you use to check the ink coverage.

Also note that Photoshop doesn't deal directly with PDF files, so it may not know about some PDF constructs that can have an effect on the colour.

On two machines with windows 10 Acrobat DC i set the same color setting but now the eyedropper tools close me down Acrobat.

Acrobat's output preview window is notoriously buggy (and seems to be getting worse over time). Try to use the eyedropper without ever opening output preview.
If it keeps crashing I suggest you contact Enfocus support through the support portal.

I solved. It was the acrobat colormanagment preferences.
Conversion option was not present into the system.
