Add bleed action list problem/bug

Post by mbemalvern »

When using the standard add bleed action list, bleed is correctly created on the top, left and right sides of the document but NOT the bottom.

Bleed trim and media boxes are all defined correctly with sufficient space allocated to allow the process to work.

The attached before and after shots illustrate this problem.

If you zoom in at the bottom you will probably find that there is a small gap between the image and the trim box.
Elements need to be touching the Trim Box in order to bleed.
If you look inside the Add Bleed Action, you will see there is a value in there, this allows you to move the bleed tolerance inside the Trim Box, the value you have to set will depend upon the size of the gap.

If you have a look at this recording of one of the PitStop customer workshops, you'll find it explained and demonstrated.
The agenda will give you a timeline of where in the movie you need to look.
