Hi
I'm running EFI Jobflow which lets me access Pitstop Action Lists in my workflows. I'm wondering if anybody could help me out with an action list that would convert a pdf into PDF/X-1a, in the same manner as doing it from Acrobat.

Re: PDF/X-1a
You can't do it completely in an Action List as you require a transparency flattener, and you can't access one through an Action List.
Is there any reason you specifically want to use PDF/X-1a?
With a modern rip like a Fiery then PDF/X-4 is a better alternative, but you have to use the correct Fiery settings and you have to make sure your preflight checks things like Transparency and Blend Colorspaces.

Re: PDF/X-1a
Hi Andrew
This is for VDP jobs using Fusion Pro, when I get files without bleed. I've had problems printing after adding bleed and then composing quite large runs. I've had better results if I re-save the file as PDF/X-1a before composing them.
I'm basically looking for an option to make a fool proof PDF and start printing immediately
