Love Pitstop, hate Acrobat
Love Pitstop, hate Acrobat. Are there any plans to make Pitstop a stand alone application like the old Pitstop Extreme?

Could be, it comes up in discussion every now and then.
Acrobat has a lot of features that we would probably need to add to a standalone version, any thoughts on what we would need as a starting point?

Thanks for responding. I envision an application similar to Neo or your old Pitstop Extreme. Something that won’t crash 10 times a day or need to redraw the display every time you click the mouse. We have Neo but it’s old and I’m afraid it may not understand modern pdfs with complex transparency. We typically work with pdfs for packaging that are 1 gig or larger and Acrobat is a real pain. Prepress really needs an alternative and I believe Enfocus could help us out.

Have you looked at Esko's ArtPro+? It has a focus on packaging PDFs.
