Simplify a path with Pitstop?

Post by magnussandstrom »

Hi, I'm using the 'Add trace path' in Pitstop but I got feedback from our cutting operators (Kongsberg cutting table) that ask me to reduce the number of nodes in the path if possible. Is there a way to simplify the path in Pitstop (I use' Scan resolution to make a smother path') but is there a way to reduce unessecary nodes that could make the cutting process less efficient? (Like the tool 'Path>Simplify' in Illustrator)?

Not at the moment, but it is something that makes a lot of sense.
Can't promise anything, but it is on my radar.

Thanks for the quick answer Andrew. We will try to use Automation Engine for this for now.
