Hi Everyone,

Just trying to configure a smart preflight workflow with variables from our MIS.

Problem I'm having is that the matching file names of the PDF's sometimes have a "." in the file name if the job has multiple parts i.e cover.01.pdf, text.02.pdf. When I try to set up the variable fields with a file with a "." in the name other than ".xml" at the end it can't read the file. Other than changing everything else in our current workflow can this be configured in any way to work?

I can't think of a way to do this in PitStop Server itself.
You would need to do it upfront, or upgrade to PitStop2Switch to enable you to have more control over the XML and the content needed for the variable.

Thanks Andrew, we have just sorted a way round it using Planet Press to re-name the files before they go through Pitstop server and then re-name them when they come out.
