Trim Box Sizes?

Post by primarycolorinc »

Can anyone help by giving a explaination on how this feature works. I would like it to take any tiff, jpeg, pdf with out trim marks and make it .125in inside the crop box. For example: a 22.25 x28.25 file making it 22x28 with .125 bleed around it. If there is a way to make this so the size doesnt have to specific that would be great. Thoughts? Please remember I am new to Switch I am not into the variable aspect of the software yet. Thanks, be safe, be healthy.

Ok, so need some clarification first.
You have an image within a PDF, and you want to change a page box
You mention the Crop Box, but also bleed and trim.

Do you have a sample file?

I'm assuming it's just a matter of adjusting the size of the current boxes by -0.125' on all edges
If that's the case you just have to put that value into the Action where you currently have '22in' and '28in'

That will resize the relevant page box.

Make an action like this:
Change the trim box to the size of the crop box
Change the trim box by -0.125 inch in all directions
Add page marks
