I have tried to create an action list to copy all images/vector art/text , create a copy, change all to white and place on separate layer. Basically trying to create a white plate to back artwork printing on a clear substrate .
thank you
Angela

Interesting case.
This gets a lot easier with PitStop 2020 with the autotracing and the offset path.

Can you send me a test file and I'll create something for you to try?

So here is a work in progress. Angela shared some files with me and I've now made this available on the Linkedin PitStop Group, and now here.
There are two Action Lists. One honors holes in the trace, one ignores them. This Action List only works with PitStop 2020.
This also chokes the trace 1pt (smaller) than the traced objects.
Let me know how you get on with it, and maybe I'll add it to PitStop as a default in the future.
I'm interested to see how it works with files with transparency. It might need a bit of tweaking.
It makes a overprint spot color called 'Varnish. Everything is editable so you can adjust it if you wish.
