conditional Spot Color search/replace

Post by jcarp »

I haven't found a way to do this yet: I have documents using a custom spot color, and need to update it based on whether another custom spot color is found.

Basically, if Custom Spot Color 1 is found, search for Custom Spot Color 2 and change to Custom Spot Color 3.

If Custom Spot Color 1 is NOT found, search for Custom Spot Color 2 and change to Custom Spot Color 4.

Any thoughts?

Is this just in PitStop, or is it within Switch?

Ok, are you registered for the PitStop Monthly online workshops?
I'll cover this as a use case next Wednesday.

Works for me! Far simpler than I had imagined - thank you for investigating/sharing.

Select spot color (specify)
Select page if content is selected
Remap spot color
Select spot color (specify)
Select page if content is selected
NOT
Remap spot color

I'm keeping that template for other conditional edits the future may hold . . .
