I have a few quick questions regarding Switch, trying to satisfy curiosity.
Can Switch be used to send a PDF or Postscript file to a printer complete with tray pulls, finishing requirements, exception pages (slipsheets) and such?
We can use Switch to add barcodes, with the barcode content being from either metadata (page count/record count) or from the contents of an XML file?
How does Switch run with large input files? 300-500 meg files, even up to 1 or 2 gigs?
Switch capabilities
Re: Switch capabilities
For first one, you can add any metadata to a file, that's about it. I don't think there's integration with printers if you're asking for that.
You need to provide exact code for barcode to generate, not content, so I suppose that's a no.
It depends more on how they're made, encoded or something. I had files that go through perfecty as big as 2 gb's, and I had files that get stuck as small as ~10mb. In other words, switch can handle big files, but sometimes, I don't know on what it depends, but some files do get stuck.

Re: Switch capabilities
If you add PitStop Server you can add Barcodes as you describe.

There are also Switch Apps available which allow you to 'print' to a printer.

So you can pretty much do what you want. Best thing would be to have a trial and test it.
