Change color values based on variables

Post by nbarenbruegge »

Hi,

is ist possible to change the cmyk-values of an object based on an action lists with variables?
Or perhaps "build" a custom spot color with these "variable" values and use it to create a new object with this color as stroke or fill.

The problem is that I would like to add a Line by an action list that has a custom spot color with userdefined cmyk-values.

Thanks,
Nils

HI,
where are the variables? in a metadata or you have to grap them by pdf's object?

Hi,
the variables should be used from switch-metadata.

I was wondering if there is maybe something like a "stringtype" to define the cmyk-values for an object. But as far as i can see this feature is not intended, because you can only set a boolean variable for fill/stroke to on/off.

Sorry for the delay in responding. You're correct, it's not currently possible.
You can set a variable for a fill color, at least not yet.

It would be good to talk about how you see this working, so if you would like to, please drop me an email and we can discuss it.
