Loosing conformity to pdf/x4 standard after splitting

Post by tkittel »

Hello Forum,

creating pdf/x4 file with several pages, split it to single pages using the 'split' element of powerswitch 10 update 2 and preflight them after splitting, always results in errors (xmp media management):

XMP:DocumentID does not exist

XMP:RenditionClass does not exist

XMP:VersionID does not exist

How to keep conformity to the pdf/x4 standard for the splitted pdf files?

Loosing conformity to pdf/x4 standard after splitting

Thomas,

split PDF using switch is not PDF/X savvy (as is true with a lot of other applications).

I can only advise to split first and then create X-4.

Hello all,

the issue described above is confirmed by enfocus now and forwarded to the developer team. When I'll get info, that this bug is fixed, I'll post it here.

Happy easter,
