How to see if there is graphics in bleed area

Post by lombert »

Hi

I need to get a preflight-check that sees if there are any graphics outside the trim box and inside the bleed box. But only if there is real object, not empty frames or other non graphical objects.

I find this action;

select objects inside/outside region (outside trim box)

select objects inside/outside region (inside bleed box)

AND

log selection

But that finds everything even if just the bleedbox is active..

Has any one else some suggestions?

Hi,

I think you use pitstop.

In your pitstop script add an other script before named "Set Trim and Bleed Box to Marks". You can download this script on enfocus website.

There is a standard preflight check in PitStop to check bleed. It is in the Page section. Just activate it and fill in the values.

The inverse check is also available: Safe type zone. This checks there are no objects that are too close to the page edge (useful in book printing).
