I the earlier versions of HP SmartStream Designer you could select an Adobe Pdf Export preset, but in the latest version that is no longer possible.
How do you guys handle this?
Do you do a color conversion to CMYK with PitStop of do you do color management in the press DFE?

If you go to Smartstream Designer preferences > Output > Adobe PDF Presets you can choose your colour managed preset from the drop down.
