Preflight Profile Database

Post by us592 »

Is there a preflight profile database to search through for Pitstop Server?

I am looking for a profile to handle and check large format files and possibly add a spot color stroke around the trim box, also putting this on a separate layer.

Let me know if anyone has anything to share or info on this process.

Thanks
Vaughn

There are 140 preflight profiles under the Standard section. These come preinstalled with PitStop Pro. You will see that the Ghent PDF Workgroup section contains by far the largest number of profiles. That is because the Ghent Workgroup does a great job at specifying standard checks for different types of work and PitStop follows these as close as possible. The release of new specifications by the Ghent Workgroup does of course not always coincide with a PitStop release but we also make the profiles available on their website.

Go to https://www.gwg.org/application-settings/. You will find profiles for different markets there; the Sign & Display section was added recently.

As to the possibility of adding a spot color stroke around the trim box, one Action: Add object. The settings are self-explanatory.

There is also a pre-configured default Action List for this task.
Search for 'Add a Stroke to the Trim Box for Visualisation v2'

This makes an overprinting stroke in a spot color "Trim Box'. It also puts the stroke on a layer, so it can be easily turned on and off.
