Remove a line of copy

Post by drcpub »

I would like to remove a line of copy from every page in a pdf. example would be the filename, time and date that indesign or another program might put on. But since the filename includes a page number too, and the time changes across pages, I would need to use wildcards or something. Is this possible? Does Pitstop use wildcards?. Would anyone have an idea of how an action might look tying to achieve this?

thank you

I don't think you can use wildcards, but if the text you want to remove is written with a font and/or in a size that is not used for anything else in the dokument, you could use that information to select the text and remove the selection.

Another approach, perfectly possible in combination with Erik's, is to use the Action "Select objects inside region".
