A beginner question

Post by nitzi »

Hello
Tried to search the forums and communities, with no success...
it's a beginner question:
I created a layout in Photoshop (business card if it matters), with many layers (texts, images etc.)
Saved it as a PDF (with photoshop capabilities), but when I open the PDF in Pit Stop and try to select the elements, it recognizes it as 1 complete layer.
I can't select the text or the image.
What do I do wrong?
Just to mention that few days ago I was able to do it (different file though), so I can't put my finger what I did wrong.
Thanks a lot

Could it be that you select PDF/X-1a as export standard? As this standard doesn't allow transparency, and if any were found, file waas flattened and texts possibly outlined.
My 2cts.
