page size unit threshold for preflight

Post by dcardillo »

I have a few PDFs where one or a couple of pages are off on their page size and trim size by a fraction of a point — from 0.001" to 0.01pt. I check them with preflight in Pitstop, "Different Page Sizes Found." Only it doesn't find any differences.

I know how to change the units in the preferences, but is there a way to set the threshold at which this preflight check will catch these?

For example, there is a stock PDF preflight within Acrobat, "Orientation and size with 2 pt tolerance is equal for all pages," which, if you set the threshold to 0pts, will flag the PDF with an error. (But doesn't tell you which page!)

Is it possible to check page size (and trim size) to even the 3rd decimal place (in points)?

Hi,

What you can do is using action to check for page size where you can set tolerance. But of course, you need to define dimensions:

Hope that helps
